It breathes again.

I had not intended Aggressive Anxieties to remain dormant so long. Life is a busy thing, and I try to be so many different things, occasionally to the detriment of meeting my basic human needs.

I have recorded a number of things since the San Francisco tape, and worked on mixing some of them, but nothing ever came together that felt worthy of release.

I find art to be an incredibly difficult process. Often it seems impossible to manifest an idea of mine into a finished piece that exists in the real world. In spite of this, sometimes I am able to create a finished piece that still captures the spirit and intention of the original desire.

This song is for my friend Z, my punk rock brother who died from suicide when we were young 20 somethings barely allowed to legally enter bars. I respect that each person’s body is inviolable, subject to their own will alone, but I still miss my friend sometimes - there were so many more shows to go together, so many more bands to discover and share with each other.

The second song is for another lost friend, but now is not the time to speak of them. Their story will come later, and this release is for Z.

I love you my friend, and I will always wonder what the last song you listened to was.
